Varshney Samaj Tricity was founded on 26th of January 2015; an auspicious day when our country became an independent Republic
Initially, around 15 odd Varshney families from Chandigarh, Panchkula (Haryana) and Mohali (Punjab) partook and joined hands together to lay the foundation of Varshney Samaj. It was a proud day for our community as it was beginning of new era in the history of Tricity, Chandigarh. Varshney Samaj was named as “Varshney Samaj Tricity, Chandigarh” with one voice. Dr. V.P. Gupta, our senior member, addressed the meeting. Sh. S.C. Gupta emphasized the need for a platform where we Varshney could satisfy our social need, interact with each other’s ideas and share our common beliefs in order to achieve our social objectives.
To carry out above objective, an executive body was unanimously elected. Dr. V.P. Gupta (Convener) , Mr. Ankit Gupta (President), Sh. Girraj Kishore Gupta (Vice President), Mr. S.C. Gupta (Gen. Secretary), Sh. R.K. Gupta (Treasurer), Dr. Monika Varshney (Joint Secretary) and three executive members Mr. Shailendra Kumar Gupta, Anil Gupta and Vipin Gupta.
Here we would like to mention the name of our young man Sh. Ankit Gupta, (who is in the late twenties) who left no stone unturned to bring the Varshney families in and around Tricity, Chandigarh at one platform.
